History
From its inception, the Research Institute of Cardiology, which later evolved into Almazov Centre, has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and trained residents in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery.
The Institute of Medical Education was established in 2013 with 7 departments.
The mission of the Institute of Medical Education is to train highly-qualified healthcare professionals in the residency, PhD and continuing education programs.
In 2018, Almazov Centre successfully launched the specialist’s degree in General Medicine and became the first Russian medical research centre to implement a specialist degree program.
Today, the Institute of Medical Education has 4 faculties, 29 departments and 2 training centres.
A multidisciplinary clinic with more than 1,000 beds for in-patient care in more than 25 medical areas serves as the training site.
Almazov Centre is committed to providing its students with the finest possible education with a staff of more than 7,000 people, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities, innovative research and clinical facilities, advanced medical technologies.
